We are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. It's a large undertaking, and hopefully we'll be able to make it through in one piece with stories to tell and memories to last a lifetime. Here is our tentative plan for the five weeks, subject to change due to unexpected circumstances and acts of God.
June 3rd: Morning flight to New York for a four hour stopover. Then a flight to Keflavik.
June 4th-7th: Spend time in Iceland. See the Golden Circle and the South Shore. Explore Reykjavik and bathe in the blue lagoon.
June 8th-10th: Go to London. See the Tempest with Colin Morgan in it. Go on the London Eye. See Les Mis in theatre. Go to Cardiff for the day.
June 12th-16th: Go to Paris. See the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Go to Montmartre and marvel at Sacre Coeur. Go to a bunch of museums.
June 16th-19th: Go to Amsterdam. Walk alongside the canals. Visit the Van Gogh museum. Rent bicycles, possibly.
June 19th-21st: Go to Berlin. Meet with Nick's cousin. Picnic in parks. See the Berlin wall.
June 23rd-26th: Go to Interlaken. Live in a tent village. Take a train to see the Matterhorn. Hike up Reichenbach Falls.
June 26th-29th: Go to Florence. See David and the Birth of Venus. Visit the Duomo. Watch the sun set from the terrace of our apartment.
June 29th-July 2nd: Go to Rome. Live in an apartment right next to the Coliseum. Visit the Coliseum. Visit the Vatican City. Eat gelato. Lots of gelato.
July 2nd-7th: Go to Freiburg. Explore the Black Forest. Celebrate Nick's 18th birthday. Show people my(Sarah) second home.
